Do NOT stay here! I'd rate 0 stars if I could! The place is absolutely disgusting. First off, they delayed checking us in for about 20 minutes, no apology, the guy just grunted at us. Finally we got our key and went to our room, the whole building absolutely stinks of Cigarettes, Weed, Urine and feels very dirty and dated. We booked a double bed and a single, but ended up with 3 single beds, the cheapest nastiest beds imaginable, one of which looked like it was about ready to collapse and the room was overlooking a rubbish tip, The bathroom was disgusting, holes in the walls, wallpaper peeling off, a broken toilet seat and a cracked washing basin. We didn't feel safe there with a child, so decided after a show at the AO arena to drive to a Premier Inn in Runcorn, where it felt like we'd upgraded to the Ritz in comparison. I see other reviews saying you get what you pay for, but at £117 for the night, we'd at least expect the place to be clean, safe and relatively comfortable.

While the check-in process was seamless and the host friendly, my stay at this hotel was disappointing. The room, though basic, had annoyingly squeaky floors. It had a TV with no remote.The overpowering stench of cigarette smoke lingered, making the environment unpleasant. The bathroom was a major letdown; the shower appeared untouched for months, covered in dirt and mold. Additionally, the non-functional radiator, partially blocked sink, and stagnant water added to the discomfort. I caution others against choosing this hotel for a less-than-pleasant experience.

Whilst the receptionist was extremely friendly, for the price - you are getting what you pay for here. It will do for a very short stay. The walls/ ceilings seem thin because for most the night it sounded like a herd of elephants were walking above us. Mattresses were dirty but beds were fairly comfortable. Shower was basic but there were signs of mould and wear/tear (cracks to sink, wallpaper coming off etc). Definite water issues too as you couldn't flush toilet more than once in succession and the water filled the bottom after having a shower. The bathroom door handle came off it's hinges so we couldn't risk shutting the door fully. And our room front door lock didn't look overly sturdy/safe

This place is amazing ignore the bad reviews it's like any where you get what u pay 4 u want the hilton pay for the hilton. The rooms are nice you have a TV WiFi comfy bed and the host stuart and Angela are one of the best hosts I have had. Honestly try it for your self you won't be disappointed keep up the good work guys xxxx

My recent experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I had paid for a 3-night stay but ended up only staying for 2 nights due to a series of inconveniences that made my visit unbearable. First and foremost, the check-in process was a nightmare. Coming from the London area to Manchester late at night was already exhausting, but the hotel's policy of having a strict check-in time made things even worse. The latest check-in time was set at 9:00 pm, and to make matters worse, they required payment in cash by 7:00 pm. This arrangement is utterly impractical for travelers who are still on the road or unfamiliar with the city. Unless you're already in the vicinity or happen to have a local connection, this policy renders their check-in service completely useless. To add insult to injury, the receptionist's behavior was shockingly unprofessional. When I called for assistance and guidance, the receptionist not only hung up on me but also declined my subsequent calls. This left me feeling stranded and helpless, especially in an unfamiliar city. When I finally managed to enter my room, I was greeted with a disappointing reality. The room I had booked was advertised as having an ensuite bathroom, but only buried in the fine print did I discover that it was, in fact, a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom looked nothing like the pristine one showcased in the photos. The toilet was cramped, the sink was minuscule and awkwardly positioned right in front of the toilet, leaving barely 30 centimeters of space between them. To make matters worse, the shared toilet displayed the unfortunate remnants of previous guests, with visible stains that were a clear indication of neglect. The condition of the room itself was far from satisfactory. The room emitted a strong, lingering stench of cigarettes that was impossible to ignore. This made the entire environment uncomfortable and unpleasant to spend time in. All in all, my stay at this hotel felt like a horrible mistake. The inconvenient check-in times, unhelpful receptionist, misleading advertising, and subpar room conditions combined to create an experience that was not only far from what was promised but also significantly below any reasonable standards. I would strongly caution anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking. My experience was more akin to a hostel stay with an added layer of frustration and disappointment.
